CORRECTION

In the recent posts about the etymology of Tusoteuthis, I mistyped "past participle" as "past particle," which has the same letters (minus a syllable). To get a bit more technical (if people checked out the Latin conjugation links), the form tusus "crushed" is the "perfect passive participle" (used with forms of "be" in Latin) and is declined just like an adjective.Â
